One thing I love to do at the end of each year is to reflect on the progress I made toward my goals I set for the past year and to create new goals for the upcoming year.
Here were a few goals that I had set for 2014:
– Shoot 10 weddings.
– Read the entire Bible.
– Create a beautiful, clean, and inspirational office space.
I poured my heart and soul into the first goal of shooting 10 weddings. I ended up working with thirteen incredible couples and shooting their weddings! In total, I shot 21 weddings since I second shot for a few other talented photographers as well! This year I truly learned that I LOVE working with couples and shooting weddings! I love getting to know couples throughout the engagement process! It’s so much fun getting couples in front of my camera and encouraging them and letting them know how amazing and beautiful they are! It is such an honor when a couple entrusts me to capture such a monumental day in their lives! I was able to quit my full time job this year to pursue photography and I am SO excited to grow the business in 2015 and work with so many more amazing couples!
My second goal was to read through the entire Bible. I didn’t make it through the entire Bible but I did read several books of the Bible! Unfortunately I didn’t even begin to tackle creating a new office space. However, this year I do hope to create a clean, simple, and inspiring office for Stacey Lynn Photography! This past year was definitely challenging with working full time and shooting weddings and due to that some important areas of my life were neglected. In 2015 I want to prioritize a few of those neglected areas and focus on what matters most!
I want to prioritize my health which I tend to neglect when I get busy and want to participate in consistent exercise. I also want to meal plan and make intentional healthy food choices rather than eating processed foods on the go. I want to prioritize my spiritual health and spend daily time with God through reading the Word, journaling, and prayer. I want to spend time with my family and be intentional about saying yes to hanging out with them rather than packing my schedule too full.
In 2015 I also want to focus on GROWTH and take Stacey Lynn Photography to the next level. There are so many areas of the business that I’ll be focusing on including launching my new branding and website, streamlining my workflow, creating a more consistent client experience, and so much more!
Here’s to an amazing New Year and to focusing on what matters most to you! I would love to hear any goals that you have for 2015, feel free to comment and share those goals below! Happy New Year!

Dear Stacey,
You are already an amazing young woman! It is inspiring to see how far you have come with your photography business – I am so happy to see that you believe in yourself and your talents! I see tremendous creativity & love in each photo that you take! As far as spending more time with your awesome family, I am sure that they will all help to make that happen WITH you as the Clark family is a model for what families should be! You have the support of your parents, your sisters, your husband & your brother-in-laws! The sky is the limit! Keep soaring! Miss you but glad to see that you’re doing well! Love, Senora Swope

Good for you Stace! You are such an inspiration and I am so proud of all that you have accomplished so far! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you in 2015!!! You can definitely tackle reading the Bible in one year if you read a little bit each day, one of my goals is to start journaling more because I have let that fall to the side more this past year. I can’t wait to see more of your beautiful pictures!!
