Ever since Leigh and I began emailing a few months ago, I was looking forward to finally meeting her and Brett in person at their Longwood Gardens engagement. From Leigh’s emails, I could tell what an incredible couple they were. However, after just seconds of meeting them I was blown away. Brett and Leigh are the most warm, kind, and engaging couple. I immediately felt at ease around them because of how genuine they were.
Just to give you a little background as to how cute Leigh and Brett are, let me share a bit about how they met and their proposal story.
Brett and Leigh met on their very first day of college at Bucknell University. They were lucky enough to live on the same athletes floor and immediately became best friends. After a year and a half of friendship, they began dating and have been inseparable ever since.
Fast forward after several years of dating, Brett planned the sweetest at home proposal! On a Friday morning he snuck Leigh’s grandmother’s homemade pancake recipe out her recipe box and went to the store to pick up the ingredients. He then hid everything in his truck so Leigh wouldn’t get suspicious. The next morning he woke up super early and prepared the pancakes. He served Leigh breakfast in bed and she found him all dressed up with flowers too. He dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him! It was the perfect proposal that Leigh had hoped for!
Leading up to their proposal, Brett told Leigh he has gone on a fishing trip when he really drove two hours to pick up her ring at the same jeweler where her mom’s ring was from. I seriously can’t get over how adorable Leigh and Brett are!
I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with these two and cannot wait for their Beaumont Inn wedding next year!
